When Peyton wakes up in the morning it's a quarter to five

and she just can't wait to come alive

(for the last three mornings it's been five, I hope this is a fading trend)

Peyton loves to watch Mommy and Daddy get ready and now she can be just like us.  She enjoys brushing her teeth with her apple-banana flavored toothpaste.

Forget puree!

I like to eat eat eat apples and bananas... well mostly just bananas.  

Peyton's transitioning to solid foods.  We started with puffs and her finger dexterity has improved dramatically.  She's popping the puffs in her mouth left and right!  Last night I cut up banana in tiny bites.  These bites soon became smothered everywhere: jammers, chair, floor, and hair.  Lots in the hair.  Turns out she prefers just gnawing on the whole banana.  Unfortunately this method was just as smothery... Bananas = Bathtime!

Evolution of Crawl: Part 1

The frustration phase.  Not one to usually fuss, Peyton has had a rough couple of days with on and off fevers.  Good crawl attempt anyways Peytie and thanks for the encouragement Daddy!

Cousin Jonah came down for a visit this weekend so he could babysit Peyton while Mommy and Daddy were at work.  He was "SOOOOO big" compared to Peyton and enjoyed crawling, clapping, and quickly developed an interest for Peyton's pacifier (but only when the bink was in her mouth) : )  

This was Peyton's first playdate with an older baby and she was in awe of his skills.  Thanks for playing Jonah!

Eight is Great

Happy eight months babygirl!  A couple of your milestones in the last month include waving (especially to your pal Kinnie), picking up and eating puffs, speedy page flipping (Mommy has to read each page with urgncy), and improved jibber jabber to that cute baby in the mirror.  Thank you for consistently sleeping 11 hour nights, eating all of your veggies, and being the sweetest little bundle of fun.  We love you!

Peyton's Top 5 Disney Magical Moments:

1. Polka dancing with Mommy at  the Ockoberfest Celebration in Epcot's Germany village
2. Riding on all of the cool rides like Nemo Adventure, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbeans, Country Bears Jamboree, Ariel, and Space Mountain (just kidding on the last one!)
3. Seeing Uncle Adam get pooped on by a bird in the Frontierland of Magic Kingdom
4. Being a Sleeping Beauty during both incredibly loud evening fireworks shows at Epcot and Magic Kingdom
5. Meeting my Fairy Godmother 

Wheeeew, what a fun first Disney adventure!  I'm so exhausted that I'm sure to sleep on the plane. : )

Our half marathon seemed like running "to infinity and beyond".  But we had fun especially jogging with a cowboy and space ranger who looooooved the fanfare.  

Prior to the race these two characters posed for tons of cellphone pictures with various admiring princess runners.  During the race Buzz's turbo button regularly caused him to zoom ahead of groups of runners while Woody galloped along close behind.  When they got bored they sang "A Whole New World"with a choir of followers.  To top it all off, after the race they were approached by a man who told them they inspired him to keep going when times got tough.  Overall I'd say we had a successful morning!
