My first cold...Round 2

Poor little Peyton is experiencing the second round of her first cold.  The joys of daycare!  You'd think with a pediatrician and pharmacist for parents that she would be set.  Unfortunately we're finding out first hand that nothing we try really works.  Here have been our bright ideas so far:

1. Elevate head of bed with our thickest textbooks.  This worked until Daddy laid Peyton on a decline. In his defense, he rotates her so her head doesn't get misshapen. : )
2. Cool mist humidifier
3. Saline drops with bulb suction.  She's not a fan!  
4. Vicks Babyrub 
5. Lullaby frog that projects constellations on ceiling. I think this one is more for Jon.
6. Hugs from Mommy and Daddy!

Peyton enjoys lunging at this roller toy on her baby gym.  It's quite entertaining to watch!  Just hope she doesn't boink her head. : )

I came home from work and found Jon out front socializing Peyton with the neighbors in this lovely ensemble.  Jon thinks I need to get with the times and recognize that mismatch is where it's at! : )

Jon struggles with the concept that Peyton will grow out of clothes.  For example this 0-3 month barely snapped on her tall 4 month frame.  On another occasion I found her sleeping in her crib, back-arched shoulders pushed down in waaaay to small jammies.  I guess I better do a better job of removing clothes from her closet!    

Fourth month stats

 Peyton went to the Doctor for her four month checkup and her stats are in.  She weighed 13 lbs 2 oz (39%) and was 26 inches long (96%).  Keep up the growing Peytie!

When I was little my Dad would walk we around the yard to look at the leaves.  Now Peyton got to do the same thing with Grandpapa this weekend.  She loves being outside!

In honor of her favorite book, "Click, Clack, Moo, Cows that type", Mommy gave Peyton a new blankie and she loves it!  It is so soft and cozy.  Two years from now it will probably be tattered and stained but she will love it just the same!

Wow!  I'm trying out my 4+ month activity center a few weeks early so it's no wonder I can barely touch.  Lucky for me Daddy knows the importance of "interacting with my environment and moving my limbs around in physical space."

What's up?

We took advantage of a beautiful not-so-hot day to spend some time outdoors with Miss Cool.  She was loving her shades!  She was loving her Daddy too.  

My Daddy is fun
