Someone to look up to

#1 fan
Peyton gets a private concert some nights before bedtime.  Jon started learning on my Grandpa Sprock's old guitar while I was pregnant.  Finally he's found someone that appreciates his music!  Some of their favorites are:
  1. Re: Stacks by Bon Iver
  2. Laura by Bat for Lashes
  3. Epilogue by the Antlers
  4. Somewhere over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole... say that three times fast Israel Kamakawiwo'ole Israel Kamakawiwo'ole Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
  5. Penny and me by Hanson
Of course Peyton's name is substituted for names mentioned in each song.  Sometimes Daddy plays tooooo long... Peyton lets him know she wants crib time and she falls right asleep.

Margaritaville

Next years Christmas card
We spent a busy day n' a half in Key West.  We got to experience the eclectic crowd on Duval Street, swim in the condo pool, and take a sunset sailboat ride with First Mate Sidney "Double Braid Beard" Ninnies. (http://pirate.namegeneratorfun.com/ -check it out)

Peyton had lots of fun with Grandpa and Grandma.

I need a margarita

Tuckered out
Our Key West weekend trip with Gma and Gpa got delayed when we decided to not wake up to our alarm and missed our flight (well technically we arrived about 20 minutes before our flight left).

Because it was springbreak season (and not like when we missed our flight in January to Disneyworld, nice track record right?), the next flight was around noon the following day.  We almost missed that one too when it was discovered that the doggie daycare place doesn't open til noon on Sunday.  Luckily I have a very nice friend who took care of Kinnie and dropped him off later.

Once we got going on Sunday: 29 hours total travel, 33 hours Key West whew!

Oh well... ice cream fixes everything!

Sold

Sad to be moving
It was actually pretty lucky we missed our flight (see next entry) because while out to lunch with Peyton's friend Riley (and her mommy and daddy) we heard news that we received an acceptable offer on our house.  After two days on the market, not bad!

Unfortunately Peyton was pretty upset when she heard word that we were moving. : (

You are what you eat

Proud mom moment #72
Peyton ate a piece of dog food today.  She's a quick little scrambler.  Fortunately she must have thought it was okay because she started clapping enthusiastically while she chewed.

Kinnie's thinking, "Sucker."

Our little salesgal

View my home!
The news is out... Peyton (and mommy and daddy) are moving to Minneapolis this June for daddy's fellowship program in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Man the work we have to do before we can move!  Luckily we had a weekend off to scrub, paint trim, reorganize drawers etc.  Peytie really cracked the whip and had Nana working all weekend long.

Extra extra read all about it: Stunning 4 bedroom/3 bathroom home, fresh paint, new furnace, located in the most dangerous city in America... any takers?

Future librarian

Relaxing with Big Bird
Another reading session with our little brainiac.  I wasn't kidding when I said she likes books.  There are piles all over our home and even a water book for the tub!  The problem with Peyton becoming a librarian is:
  1. She hasn't figured out how to put book back on the shelf
  2. She's much too loud when she read... Shhhhhh
