Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

Fun with Dad
We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo!  How about you, you, you?  Peyton visited the zoo this weekend and had a blast.  Especially when she woke up to see the elephant.  And after a long and grueling search, the big kids were super excited to find the snow cone stand.

Hey it's Kinnick

Stage mom

Pimp my baby

We entered Peyton in the Bremer County Fair Cutest Baby Contest.  We had to select a category for entry: prettiest eyes, chubbiest cheeks, most hair or least hair.  We selected prettiest eyes of course!  Unfortunately so did everyone else.  Peyton's odds were against her and unfortunately she was beat out by the baby with the yellow bow.

I was rather bitter.  I didn't realize you had to pimp your kid out in glittery bows and ruffle butts to fit in at a local fair.  I blame myself.  Next time we'll bring it!!

Reunion part 3

Otto family

Off to Waverly, Iowa for the last leg of our family reunion tour.  We had fun at all the weekend events but Kinnick had the most fun of all.  Kinnick made friends with the neighboring ponies and enjoyed visiting them frequently!

Finally a puppy my size

Turtle Time

Turtle races

Off to the Turtle Races in Nisswa, Minnesota!  Jon and his turtle, he affectionately named Kinnick, received runner up in their heat.  These races are the town's main attraction and the local stores are chopped full of turtle memorabilia.  Peyton found her first souvenir and she was very happy about it!

Splish Splash

Getting silly

Ahoy matey!  Peyton sets sail on Leech Lake in Minnesota.  We had one last hurrah before maternity leave ends.  Too bad she was too little to swim!

Fits just right

What's wrong with this picture?

Hmm...

Pretty gutsy dressing Herky's daughter in red and gold.  I wonder who could be behind this, overzealous grandparents maybe?

They can hardly contain themselves
